Crafted with the devout Necromancer in mind, this relic, highly enchanted via meticulous and dark rituals brings its user into a state of dark grace.  As with other necromantic phylacteries, this vessel features a ‘heart’ by which the macabre energies are transferred between the Necromancer and the plane of Keraktes; the Planar (and sometimes referred to as Infernal) Underworld.  A vial of grave dirt and bone shards acts as a talisman to further bring the Necromancer closer to his own mortality and state of half death.  Unlike the phylacteries however, this relic does not bring any promise of immortality or perfected undeath.  It guides one along the Lich Walk by calling directly upon the Buried King, Zazazel himself. The Lich Walk allows one to walk perfectly between the worlds of the living and the dead and thus makes both worlds merge into one as life and death both hold only partial hold and power over the Necromancer. This is a perfect state of being for the Necromancer before working through other possible means with phylacteries, eternal rites, invocations, soul transference, etc. Having performed the Lich Walk and living this most grey lifestyle, the Necromancer finds that the land of the living and the dead are far more pliable to his or her desires.
