In the darkest reaches of Zanisztahr, there is a hidden temple which serves to worship the Goddess of the Shadows, Beshyana. She is a coal-skinned, black-haired woman of exquisite femininity, yet her mind is a complex tactical machine focused on bringing darkness over the whole of the planes. She calls forth legions of shadows with a whisper, twists the fate of any circumstance as she wills it, changes the minds, thoughts, emotions, and perceptions of others in a heart’s beat, and the shadows bow before her. She is a goddess of a plane almost completely untouched by Etherians. However, beside Zazazel, we stepped through. Quick to crush our exploration, she found herself trapped in a crystal in a very traditionally necromantic fashion. In usual Maergzjiran form, Beshyana was questioned and placed beneath the Sword of the Spirit until compliant. Now, she serves under the Cabal, and more especially Nykarleth, though she has yet to earn the title of a Zhanith Patroness.
